The season is fasting approaching for the ol' summer picnic, but what do you do when you can't even find a picnic basket let alone all the stuff you need for a day at the park, beach or mountains. Here are some ideas that you might want to try in your family so that the summer's picnics can be enjoyed and prepared for on a moments notice.

1 If you don't have a regular picnic basket find a container that can serve as one (you can even use an ice chest to store the picnics items in.)

2 Gather needed items for the picnic itself:

• Tablecloths
• Paper products
• Zip lock bags
• Foil
• Hand towels
• Disinfecting wipes
• Bug spray
• Sun Screen
• Small first aid kit
• Disposable utensils
• Plastic garbage bags
• Larger serving spoons

Have all of these items in your container always. Then you won't have to hunt and search for all this each time you want to go on a picnic. All that you will need to add is the food.

Plan to have some large heavy duty zip lock bags full of water already frozen in your freezer. This not only save you money but time not having to stop and buy these for your food items that need to stay cold. Just return these bags to you freezer when you come home and they are ready for the next time.

Store this container so that during the summer months it can be easily located. When winter time roles around you can store this in an out of the way storage ready for the next summers picnics.

Happy Picnicing!
